So I began to suspect a firmware/software problem - looked it up and apparently a lot of these boxes have been bricked by a botched over the air update. LNB voltages are no where to be seen, but I don't expect they will be in standby. Main processor gets slightly warm (big heatsink) but that's it. Ripple on rails is pretty low, within acceptable margins.
